I think almost all of us have tried to explain once to someone to check out a certain area/neighborhood of a town for stores, bars, restaurants, etc. Yahoo! made a nice iPhone/iPod touch App (other platforms under construction) that will allow you to search exactly like that.

This post is kind of aligned with the prior one talking about the continuous use of social platforms – even when a user is not able to sleep at night, a good “tranquilizer” seems to be checking your Facebook status or just tweet some stuff. So when do Twitter users really sleep? If you have a Twitter account, try it out, otherwise you can check when Ashton Kutcher is sleeping!

This is a nice graph completing the gigatweet post we’ve talked about before. 10 Billion tweets/”posts” for a service that (just) launched 1 year ago. Congrats!
24h each minute is the amount of video uploaded these days to YouTube. Three years ago we were talking about 5h/minute. Once again I pledge for a second life to enjoy more of the content that is available and which I will never be able to consume to better understand this world.

Yeah, I know, the news has been around since yesterday, so I’m “late” (talking Internet speed)… but it’s still worth to post, you’ll see: Who would have ever imagined that Google might become the second most visited site on the net!? Well, a while ago I guess noone, but it has come true: Facebook outed Google this week in overall traffic (in the US so far). I think this is kind of historical and needs to be mentioned, because it will mean something for all our future. Google is NOT the most important thing online anymore.
